GPL-style availability of NetScape 5.0 sourcecodes announced

I don't think it is accurate to describe RMS's GNU brainchild as either "noble" or "religious".

It just makes common sense to make information freely available to all, so the race can stop reinventing the wheel.

Profiting from your ideas by keeping them secret (patents/copyrights) is not in the best interests of society.
