Problem with RH5.2 and sound



I once ran into the same problem. Believe it or not, the only way that I
got both sound and the NIC card to work at the same time was to put the
sound alias and options at the very beginning of conf.modules, before the
entries for the NIC and scsi adapter. I dont know if it will work for you,
but its simple and worth a try...
