Uses for a couple boxes full of Compaq 2.1gig Fast-Wide SCSI2?

SCSI wide supports up to 15 devices (besides the adapter).

You can set up RAID for very fast/reliable disk storage. To fully
utilize this, you would need some disk intensive application like a
database or software builds.

Lots of people are using Adaptec 2940<something> adapters
successfully. However, there are persistent reports of problems, too.
There are several versions of the driver. Each version breaks a small
minority of the cards, and no one version of the driver works with all
of them.

The BusLogic BT958 has a good reputation. I have had very good luck
with the two BT948 adapters I have (that's the narrow version).
BusLogic was bought by Mylex a while back.
