Can X-Windows keep font sizes constant during resolution shifts?

I'm using fvwm under RH 5.2.

Please tell me if there's a way to keep the font sizes
constant during resolution shifts: in other words,
when I do cntl-alt-+ to change my resolution, can I keep the
font sizes from shrinking by automatically
changing to a larger bitmap? Also, can I keep the various
application from shrinking too?

TIA.

Happy fourth.
