Like a deer staring into the headlights of an oncoming car, the first 
reaction of many who have newly installed Linux or other *nix is 'so what 
do I do now?'

A set of tasks to accomplish which would teach by doing and range from 
the simple (mount your CD ROM drive) to the complex (configure squid).
