Huh?  What makes you think that's final.  Lots of room for flamage ...

Myself, I think I'd cast a pox on both their houses, and go with  the
attitude that built the Internet. It could perhaps be summarized with
a parody of the snail-mail system's old motto:  "The message must get
through."

There was also the t-shirt  that  I  saw  Vin  Cerf  flaunting  at  a
conference  some time back.  It read "IP on everything".  Not exactly
the attitude of either the phone or cable companies.

(Well, maybe it's second meaning IS their attitude. ;-)
