Bug in cpio?

In a simple shell backup script, I occasionally
get the following error when using at.

To me it seems a bug.

This appears to be a problem specific to cpio.
It only occurs when I use at when rlogin'ed and
the system is rebooted between the scheduling
and actual running of the job.

A simple echo job works correctly.

GNU cpio version 2.4.2

GNU bash, version 2.01.1(1)-release (i486-pc-linux-gnu)
Copyright 1997 Free Software Foundation, Inc.

Linux prod 2.0.34 #3 Thu Aug 13 18:04:13 EDT 1998 i586 unknown

at version 3.1.8
