RCN headache, on day 1

I'm going to respond to a couple things here. TZO works fine, no big problems. 1 script got added to my /etc/dhclient-exit-hooks file and the other to /etc/rc.d/rc.6. The dhclient one tells the server where I am and the rc.6 tells it I'm going away. But, I have to pay for this service. I am looking at the justlinux.com option because it's free and since I am running linux, I would prefer a free service.

I do run my own DNS, but they are being somewhere else. I don't want to run my own DNS on my local machine because a) the machine is only a little old 486 and I'm not sure it could handle much more strain, I tend to do a lot of traffic. b) I'm also not thrilled with the security issues in opening up that service. Where this is my home system I want a little tighter security than on the other systems that are actually running my DNS. It would also be difficult for the Internic to find me if my address keeps changing. The servers for my DNS are stable and have static addresses. Having them point to tzo.com or penguinpowered.com is no big deal. I do not, however, have the option of putting my website on one of these machines. It's not allowed.

I would like to thank everyone for their help and support. I hope this will help anyone who is thinking about switching or using RCN.
