Remote console options?

It's VERY easy to configure a Linux box to use the serial port as the
console.  See /usr/src/linux/Documentation/serial-console.txt for details.

Once you've done that, you can connect any sort of modem/terminal
server/whatever to be your console access method.  We like the Cyclades
PR3000 series.  Network accessible consoles for stacks and stacks of Linux
boxes.  ;)
