KDE vs. Gnome

excuse the newbie-level question please..... but:

1- KDE and Gnome are desktops, not window managers....... correct?
2- the window manager that is used by default SEEMS to be
enlightenment...... correct?
	(i have RH 6.1)
3- how would I test-drive the "WindowMaker" and/or xwm?

I have switched to fwvm and I dont like it..... back to KDE until more info
received.

thanks all
