second X server?



No.. Actually, it was the Citrix ICAClient which I used to run off a
Solaris box through an ssh tunnel.  It just completely failed to run
if I had more than 8-bit color.  This was before the Citrix ICAClient
for Linux was released, which doesn't have this mis-feature. :)
