Mediaone host names

The porblem I was having yesterday was that it killed my outgoing email 
becase the mail server could not verify the host name, so I was not able 
to send mail using exmh. I had to use Netscape and declare my smtp 
host as smtp.ne.mediaone.net. In my case (and Tony's) we run a 
Linksys BEFSR41 NAT Router, so ifconfig will only discover the address 
of the local host, since the router owns the external address.
