RoadRunner and multiple computers

I personally use the three computrer (home networking) option but I
use one of those addresses to Masq the majority of the hosts on my
LAN behind my Linux box. I use one of the the others to probe my
firewall for external holes, testing without egress filters (so I
don't have to reconfigure my FW whenever I'm doing a client scan),
and the last one is used to host some of my external domain services
using DDNS.

M1 records the (1-3) MAC addresses you provide them and the DHCP
server matches that information against the machine requesting an
address. If the lookup table contains the MAC address, you get an
address.  It's that simple.
In the router or Masq scenario, M1 only sees the address of the
border device. All other internal information is maintained in the
border devices lookup table and mapped to the specific request.
