Future Linux machines?



I'd be happy to help you get them ready for sale, if you decide to proceed.

However, I have to say that the latest desktop packages (KDE, Gnome) are 
memory hogs.  KDE 2 is even more demanding than KDE 1.  I wouldn't want to
run either with less than 32mb.

Next, there's the issue of what someone would like to run on the machines.
Star Office requires 64mb.  I'm not sure about sure about Wordperfect.
The latest edition runs in Wine, and spawns a half dozen processes.

They might be more useful as routers for small companies, that use 
demand dialup lines.  I think Imagestream has ISA boards that would connect
to T1 lines, too.
