config IP address - need help

Hi all,
I have RedHat 7.1 installed. At the beginning, I used DHCP to config the ip
address.
For some reason, I need to re-config to use the static ip address. I use
'netcfg' to config the ip address. After finishing and re-boot the system, I
used ifconfig to check the ip address. However, I didn't show. What & where
I need to config ?
Thanks in advance
