[BLU] small, portable server-like computer w/o keyboard or monitor?

I remember about a year ago, a BLU member who went to all the meetings,
was finishing up the design of a fairly powerful computer about the form
factor of a UPS or a shoebox on it's side.  If anyone remembers who that
was, or if you ARE that person, let's see if we can help him out.

What JABR has is a Sony Vaio Picturebook, which is about the size of a VHS
cassette.  It does run Linux, but may be a waste since you don't need the
expensive LCD part.

The Toshiba Libretto, about the same size, would be a lot cheaper.

At the Ken Gordon shows, someone has been selling something called ( IIRC)
a BookPC, which is a case and motherboard with integrated sound, video,and
SCIS in the form factor of a notebook computer.  *VERY* cheap.


So why don't you want to use cheap old laptops?
