Go to the list info page:

    http://www.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Down near the bottom, the last text entry box is labelled:

To change your subscription (set options like digest and
delivery modes, get a reminder of your password, or unsubscribe
from Discuss), enter your subscription email address

with a button labelled "Edit Options". This leads to a page with the
"Email My Password To Me" button, a "Change My Password" button, and a
list of options such as "nomail", "digest", etc.

Hm, I don't see anything there about the monthly notice. I thought I saw
that mentioned in the documentation when I installed it.
