X :2 -query to SCO Unix Open Server 5

Hi All,

This is round 2 of trying to get a Linux desktop to
replace some (rented) X-Windows terminals. Thanks to
some earlier feed back from the mailing list(s) I have
been able to successfully log into one of our SCO Open
Server 5 using a Linux workstation (SUSE 7.3 and
Redhat 7.2). If I am in run level 5 I type the
following

    X :2 -query 10.50.20.20

And I end up at the xdm (SCO) login screen. 2 of the
three applications start. One is a telnet (please no
security lectures - I don't run the server) to another
SCO Open server 5, the second is an Xclock where the
color comes up wrong (Dark on dark = almost
unreadable). The last app is a proprietary Dispatch
system. It doesn't launch at all. I'm confortable that
I can change the Xclock colors, but I was hoping
someone on the list couls look at the screen info I
captured after the "semi-successful" login. The one
I'll add at the bottom of this post will be from the
SUSE 7.3 workstation. I have a similar one from my
Redhat 7.2 attempt which I can also post if it's
helpful.

One of the things at the bottom I notice is "direct

rendering" is disabled. I know that when we
successfully login via Humingbird's Exceed Xclient we
have to enable Direct Rendering. I tried to do this
via SaX2 (SUSE's X config tool) but got the same
results. I alos notice ther are a lot of font errors.

Here is the log info...
