broadband recommendations, Arlington

For a while, my AT&T Broadband has been running slow (about 600-800Kbps).
I've been busy. Last week it went offline for about a day. They reported
that Needham and Newton were down. When it came back up my measured
bandwidth was up about 2Mbps and remains back to about 1.5. For the most
part the service has been very reliable over the years. However, they could
save money by getting rid of all the people who answer the phone and
replace them with a computer. Im sure the computer is smarter than most of
them.
