   I wouldn't call it "surprisingly" good, but it is nice.  BTW, the odds 
of the current beta becoming release 7.4 are just about zero.  With the 
move to Gnome 2 and GCC 3.2 it's almost certain that the release will be 
8.0.  Of course, no one at RH will confirm or deny any of this.  For 
anyone who's interested in the beta, the official designation is:
Red Hat Linux release 7.3.94 ((null))

   This single subject has been the cause of no less than three separate 
flame wars on the beta mailing list.  I'll avoid starting one here by 
saying simply that the new icons and menus are unlike anything most Linux 
users are used to.

   Sure, it's worth checking out.  Remember though, that it IS a beta.  
Much is still broken (sawfish), and plenty of things seem destined to stay 
that way (metacity).
