network card

Sorry about my earlier email. it was a little vague and unclear. I have a 3com 905B. I installed mandrake 9.0. It seems as if mandrake is failing to bring the interfase (eth0) at startup eventhough it is in the list when i type in "lsmod". I am unable to activate it manually either. I looked at the syslog and it seems as if my firewire, soundcard and network card have the same IRQ. Therefore it tries to assign the network card an IRQ of 0 and hence i get a message saying something like "IRQ 0 will not work". There seems to be an IRQ conflict. What can i do to fix this? (hopefully this is the write info needed and explains the problem properly)
