> Device Drivers, 2nd Edition" ISBN 0596000081. Looks interesting.

I have written linux device drivers. Everything else in this mail is
just my opinion.

The above book is absolutely brilliant - also a good guide to kernel
code in general. the book is also available online in its entirety in
pdf, html, and xml- handy for reference purposes. Go buy it now.

the author, jon corbet, is working on a 3rd edition that will reflect
the differences between 2.4 and what-will-be-2.6. I'll buy that one
too. jon is also the force behind lwn.net, which is imho the best tech
site on linux on the net. I subscribe to lwn.net basically as a thank
you for writing such a great book.
