proposal for a BLU meeting topic or sponsored event

It would be interesting to get a panel of knowledgeable people (e.g.,
executives from Sun and EMC, folks from smaller companies, headhunters,
and maybe even someone from a foreign outsorcing firm) to talk about
what kinds of IT jobs in the US (particularly, of course, Massachusetts)
are *not* being given to workers on H1B/L1 visas or to overseas
contractors.

Members of this list have some sharp *political* disagreements about
what the government should do or should not do about citizens of other
countries competing with Americans for computer jobs. However, I think
that as *professionals* in the industry, we all want to understand as
much as we can about the market for our services, so that whatever the
politicians do and whatever we wish they would do, we can maximize our
own chances.
