Here are some of my settings from /etc/samba/smb.conf
# CUPS is the current SuSE Linux default printing system.
	printing = CUPS
	printcap name = CUPS
[printers]
	comment = All Printers
	path = /var/tmp
# Make printers accessible without user authentication.
;	guest ok = yes
	printable = yes
	create mask = 0600
	browseable = no

Make sure that your path (path = /var/spool/samba) is writable. That
could be your problem.
