yank ring under gnome



KDE 3.1 has  a systemwide yank ring that you can access by pressing 
Ctrl+Alt+v. It's very useful since you can select which past entry to 
paste..does anyone know if such a thing exists in Gnome?
I'm running Gnome on RH8
