Verizon DSL vs Comcast Cable

Huh... cause Comcast gives me "3Mbps" down (real speeds between 200Ko/s and 
550Ko/s). My upstream is sadly something like 256Kb/s though. As for being 
server-friendly... well, I try to stay under the radar.

Pinging mit.edu gets me an average of 16ms, though there are 8 hops. Go 
figure.

Not that I *like* Comcast... but they do give me a decent-sized pipe.
