auto poweroff and Oracle 9i

thanks. that was it! I removed APM and rebuilt kernel with ACPI. It seems to work now. Although the kernel is still 2.4.25.
Talking about 2.6, has anyone tried running Oracle 9 on 2.6 ? Any helpful URLs?


>If that's a sufficiently new box, it's probably using ACPI rather than APM; its BIOS may not even have any APM support. You might want to try that, though if you really want to use ACPI with Linux, you might be better off with a 2.6 kernel.
