fetchmail on Solaris



Couple different options.  You could continue to use sendmail to send
the mail outgoing. Or you could use msmtp
http://msmtp.sourceforge.net/

Either way, to send mail out you're going to need something.  sendmail
wouldn't need to be listening on a external port to send mail out, so
it wouldn't be a security issue to leave it running. =)

msmtp is pretty easy to use, and could just be added to the script.
Once you build the msmtp conf file, you basically use it like you
would 'mail' but msmtp will actually connect to the smtpd of your
choice, and use ssl, or login etc.
