Help learning Linux

Hi All,

I have been using windows for a long time and now I am considering learning Linux. I don't know C, and I have very little experience programing.

I have installed Red Hat before, but I never really used it after I installed it. If you had to start from scratch, how would you go about learning linux? What can I do in Linux that is fun and that will get me hooked? What distribution or books should I get?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Todd
