As interested as I am in the intricacies of various languages (having
most recently worked as an English teacher in Asia, and having learned
to write and speak a substantial amount of Korean during that time), I
do feel obliged to point out how astronomically far off topic this
thread has become -- much more so than any of the dreaded political
discussions which are, in fact, substantially related to the stated
topics of this list, albeit somewhat indirectly on most occasions.
