SuSE 9.3 is not seeing my PVR-350 capture card

I am also using a Hauppauge on Gentoo with ivtv, however I have the
PVR-350. The old driver was a bit of a pain (with the modules.conf
entries already mentioned), but the new driver is much more managable.
The only modules.conf-style entries I have now are just to map the
major device number:

alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-81-0 ivtv

Unless there is a SuSe package for ivtv version 0.2.0+, you'll want to
take David's suggestion and compile the module from source.
