Virtualization recommendation

I just bought a new laptop that arrived last night - HP NX6125 with AMD
Turion-64 ML-37.

I plan to run SuSE 10.0 as my primary OS and using virtualization, I will
run either Ubuntu and/or Fedora Core 5 as guest OS.

The question for the group is should I run XEN as the virtualization engine
(built in to SuSE 10) or VMWare (vmware player and vmware server are now
free).

I use my laptop at BLU meetings and installfests, and while teaching at
Northeastern where I teach a course, Linux on the Desktop. I specifically
want both SuSE, Ubuntu and Fedora so I can demonstrate some of the unique
features of each to the class.
