batch process images

I use Gimp filters to remove noise from my images. Once complete, the
images look like those taken by high price cameras. I currently open
each image in Gimp and then manually edit the image. I repeat the
process for each image in the folder. Can anyone suggest a way to
automate the process so that I can batch process a folder of images.
Thanks in advance for the advise.
Jay
