Plugin Bloat (speeding up OpenOffice?)

Extrapolating, my next purchase should be:

- a dual 3GHz CPU, 4GB RAM, 1TB RAID-1 for about $550.

All of that is available today, but the price is still too high.
I guess it's not time to buy another computer yet.
