barebones/build a box systems

i have to second the recommendation for tigerdirect.

their service is great. the one time i had to return something, there
was someone on the other end of the phone thanksgiving morning (don't
ask...) to issue the rma.

just be prepared for the deluge of advertising, it almost borders on
spam!

I buy most of my parts from tigerdirect.com Never had any problems. You
might find slightly better deals on pricewatch.com, but I've done enough
business with them that I know they can be trusted.
They have many types of bare-bones systems too.
