The company is looking primarily for a contact-to-perm 
position with a contract duration of 4 months.  They are however also 
willing to hire straight to perm. 

*Senior UNIX Systems Architect  * 
The Senior UNIX Systems Architect will build, deploy and maintain 
production systems in a 24/7 environment. These systems provide services 
to Maven applications in a high density, fault-tolerant data center 
environment, and must be scalable, reliable and responsive. 

*Responsibilities:* 

       ·       The Senior UNIX Systems Architect will work very closely 
       with the Engineering, QA, and Professional Services to ensure that 
       their systems are well architected and maintainable. 

       ·       The Architect will write and maintain all scripts and will 
       monitor, detect and resolve issues within the systems and 
       application. 

       ·       Install and configure UNIX servers and networking 
       components in production, QA and development environments. 
       ·       Provide detailed documentation of systems issues and 24/7 
       emergency support. 
       ·       Mentor junior systems administrators and work closely to 
       help diagnose customer support incidents.

*Requirements:* 

       ·       10+ years with UNIX systems administration (CENT OS 
       preferred). 
       ·       10+ years experience working in a data center 
       (co-location) environment. 
       ·       Extensive experience working with Apache and Tomcat. 
       ·       Strong knowledge of Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP) and 
       configuring network components. 
       ·       10+ years experience deploying and supporting servers in a 
       7/24 production environment. 
       ·       10+ years with a scripting language such as python, Perl, 
       PHP, etc. 
       ·       Experience supporting SAN or NAS technologies (NetApp), 
       ·       Experience supporting Network Appliance Fileservers (270, 
       3020). 
       ·       Experience supporting databases (MS SQL preferred). 
       ·       The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of urgency 
       and high energy level, react to situations quickly and decisively. 

       ·       Strong work ethic, resourceful and innovative at tackling 
       complex challenges in a timely matter. 
       ·       Flexible and adaptable, ideal candidate should be able to 
       switch gears in various high-stress situations and apply 
       themselves to quickly learning new technologies and adopting new 
       methodologies. 

       ·       Strong communication skills and attention to detail, keeps 
       others in the company informed and up to date on his or her 
       priorities, current tasks and work completed. 

       ·       Customer Focus and strong commitment to product quality. 
       Champions the product and the customer's needs and implements a 
       model of continuous improvement in both company goals and 
       project-related task. 

       ·       Bachelorâ??s Degree in Computer Science or related field
