Re: The Linux desktop challenge



 I hope I'm not turning anyone off this topic by debating things, but that 
is the fun of a discussion, right? I mean, if we all agreed about 
everything, life would be boring, would it not? So if/when I disagree, it 
is about thinking differently. I really do appreciate the suggestions!! 
and the opportunity to hear other opinions. 

Anyway, I think providing IE and MSOffice defeats the purpose of the test, 
and while I can understand having the capability of running IE or MS 
Office if it is needed in a specific case, part of the test is the general 
viability of Linux on the desktop.
