Hardware: Low-cost USB<-->Ethernet adapter

Read about it in the weekly OLPC newsletter; should be of general interest.

Anyone who subscribes to the OLPC newsletter (written by the president of
OLPC, btw) really needs a glossary! It's thick with unfamiliar terms.

Zoltan is (afaik) a common Hungarian name. So, where is the company?
Taiwan. As an amateur internationalist, I find that gently delightful.

I'm (repeatedly) pleasantly surprised to see the wide variety of
data-protocol (?) converters; especially when an embedded micro can easily
fit inside the shell of a connector, all sorts of minor wonders are not
only possible, but affordable.

My regards to all,
