It's been a source of considerable happiness to me, as well.  I've been to   
a number of operas put on by the BEMF&amp;E, and I do like Baroque opera; not   
keen on wobbly singing and more-modern "grand" opera. I generally love   
early music (that's the European kind -- Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, etc., not   
Beatles or even Sinatra! :) ). 

Used to play recorder for English and American country dancing (different   
 from club square, dif.. from C&amp;W), and have a fondness for Irish   
traditional.
