Nancy McGough maintains a huge page of IMAP info, tips and tricks
including a list of providers here:

http://www.ii.com/internet/messaging/imap/isps/

I run my own mail server, so I can't speak to any of the providers
being better than others, but Nancy's page has been around for a while,
and I see it come up as a reliable resource on occasion.
