Re: open source alternatives to Quicken



 Count me as another satisfied long-time GnuCash user (although since I 
have hardly used any non-open-source accounting software, I'm not in a 
good position to compare, and I don't use the bank import). 

My two big issues with the software are 

(a) the budget report is hard to read, since it shows budgeted and 
actual spending, but not surplus/deficit 

(b) two people can't edit the same GnuCash file simultaneously, e.g., I 
can't reconcile statements while my wife enters receipts 

(Oh, and it would be great if they had some kind of export-to-ODF 
function, especially for the reports.  And a pony. :-)
