"Data Admin" sounds more like DB Admin or Data Control than DataCenter 
SysAdmins, which sounds like who you're looking for? 

BLU is a mix of sysadmins, programmers, advanced users for both Linux 
and Unix, so this is a good place to ask. 

But there is also a group of just large-installation sysadmins, the 
BBLISA.http://www.bblisa.org/ , a local chapter of SAGE/USENIX; they 
are even more OS-neutral than BLU . There is some crossover in 
membership. I "crash" their meetings when I find the topic compelling. 
nice people.. Their next meeting was last night :-( 

I hope one or better both of you and Caroline can attend next BLU meeting.
