Netflix Prize

Is anyone working on The Netflix Prize (http://www.netflixprize.com) ?

If so, want to share?

I've been looking at it for a while. (copious spare time) I wrote a
recommendations engine a few years ago and thought it would be easy.

The problem is that the data is more or less bogus. It is based on
customer ID -- which includes families. So, the relationships between
customers and movies is an obfuscated aggregate of individuals in a
household.

How are you doing it?
