Turning Off the Computer

there has been a lot of work to reduce the boot time, although I'm
impressed with what can be done with an sdcard properly set up it can
boot in seconds (10~) because it's effectively doing a dump from the
sd-card memory to main memory and booting from that.

Maybe some investigation into this technology?
