That's odd.  I haven't had problems moving Windows guests between
different Linux hosts with VirtualBox.  If you are using the same
version of VirtualBox on both Linux/WIndows host machines, I would
think that you could maintain the same hardware config from the
perspective of the Windows guest OS.\
