T60: still no wifi



I thank all those who pointed out the location of the hardware RF kill switch;
I have gotten further along the trail, but...

I am still unable to connect to an access point with Ubuntu 9.04

  - frustratingly, I can actually use iwlist to scan the available ESSIDs

  - I can successfully connect using a live disk of Ubuntu _8.04_

I would prefer not loading Ubuntu 8.04, but I am still puzzled
why 9.04 is not working.

I have been using iwconfig (and ifconfig on the working 8.04).
