Rendering farm?

I don't know that you'll get much here about that.  What I know is  
that with Windows you can choose either the 100% Microsoft solution,  
HPC Server 2008, which is currently in tech preview (read: I wouldn't  
use it in production), or Beowulf (which I don't know the state of on  
Windows Server 2008).
