I'm amused at the claim of "almost" when the supported build systems are for various Linux distributions and Microsoft Windows.  Hint: there are a lot more known operating systems and computer platforms than those and Avidemux won't build on most of them.  But that's the wiki, not the real home.  Try this:

That said, Avidemux uses Don Graft's telecide and decimate filters which I think are the best around for restoring progressive frames at the original frame rate.
