webcam won't?

The built-in web cam on my Acer Aspire 8930G worked with Skype without 
effort.

In fact it was so easy to get working that it made me wish there was a 
hardware switch to turn it off. :-)  (A folded post-it note addresses 
the video, but not the audio.)

I like the old Sun video conferencing camera I have that incorporates a 
mechanical shutter that slides over the lens when you aren't using it.
