Thinkpad x31 surge problem

Yes, I tried a different power supply with no luck. I really liked
that notebook. I guess that I will now need to get another used
thinkpad. Is there any parts that are worth salvaging that will work
on a Lenovo X61? I do not think the dock will work. How about the
CD/DVD burner that is attached to the X31 docking station. Can I use
this for the Lenovo X61docking station? I know that I can buy a $10
case from eBay to fit the hard drive and have a shirtpocket size
external hard drive. If anyone needs some parts from this X31, send
an email request to me and I will consider it. I still did not make
up my mind what I am going to do with it. I have a difficult time
parting with old notebooks for some reason.
